Great value/educational toy Nov 02, 2009
I ordered this toy for my oldest two children (almost 2 and just 3). They've been enjoying it ever since it came out of the box. The whole thing is well constructed and stores easily. The puzzles make it fun for the kids to identify shapes and colors and place them into context. It is beneficial that two triangles combine to make a square the same size as the square piece and two squares make a rectangle. The puzzle boards are two sided conveniently doubling the number of puzzles to complete. Given some of the Melissa and Doug reviews expressing concern over construction and value, I was a little apprehensive to purchase. However, this toy is worth the cost and will last until my youngest is able to enjoy it.

My 21-month old loves this toy, we play with it every day! Great fun way to learn shapes and colors! 10 puzzles for this price is a good deal!

I love Melissa and Doug. They have come up with some of the most creative toys around. My girls, age 3 and 2 both love this toy. The 2 year old is learning her colors and shapes, and the 3 year old likes to see how many she can do before she runs out of pieces. I would buy this again in a heart beat!

I love this toy! We bought it for my oldest son for Christmas over 3 years ago, and now our youngest son loves it just as much. It is extremely durable~ well it has to be to survive 2 boys. A little paint has come off the edges of a few pieces, but that's it. My oldest started learning shapes and colors while playing with this puzzle, and I am using it to reinforce what my other son has already learned. We have several peg/shaped puzzles, but this is the one that my youngest reaches for first.

My 2 1/2 year plays with this alot. I love that it all stores nicely in the box it comes with. She knows all her shapes and I am sure this toy has helped.
