Great addition to play food collection! Nov 02, 2009
My kids, 2 and 4, love this play set. They have played with it nearly every day for a year and the novelty has not worn off. It is simple, so it will not provide hours of play as a stand alone product, but when combined with other Melissa and Doug play food sets the possibilities are endless! It comes in a sturdy wooden box and the individual pieces have proven to be indestructable.

i bought this as a two-part gift for my 2yo niece -- she, as well as the other kids at the birthday party -- loved it. they're super cute and durable, seeing as how they're made out of wood and hard plastic. the really cute part was that they have light magnetic circles that help keep them on top of the wood cone foundation. i'm definitely a lover of melissa and doug products, and this one is truly a great one. if your kid loves ice cream, cooking, or playing in a little kitchen, i'd recommend this in a heartbeat.

I LOVE most Melissa and Doug toys..and this one is just about the best! How fun! Kids love ice cream..they love pretending..and put that all together and you have a great toy! As with most Melissa and Doug toys, they actually "work" due to magnets, which you cannot see, in the ice cream and the scoop! My grandkids love this wooden toy..it will be around for years to come!

As usual a Melissa & Doug Product is a worth while choice. It is well made, durable, suitable for the age range & actually works. The colors of the objects are very real & the various pieces added to my granchildren's enjoyement. The two scoops let both of them play at the same time. It makes using their imagination more fun.

I bought this for a 4 year old girl. She loves it - it has become her fake food set of choice. Adults who have seen her play with it have all commented how cool it is as well. I have never gone wrong with Melissa & Doug products and this is one of her favorite ones. The best part is the magnet in the ice cream scooper and how well it holds onto the scoop of ice cream. The set is very durable and looks very real.
