My children are 6 and 9 and they were entertained for hours. The messiness factor is fairly low considering the objects of discovery within this toy. The volcano was nothing like what you would think of from past experiences, but they loved that experiment the best!

Gave this science kit as a gift to a 4 year old. He ssaid he loved it and even his little sister who is 2 really got into it as well. Great alternative to your typical Fisher-Price toys for gifts, this item really gets the little ones thinking on their own. Highly recommended.

Educational Fun! Feb 22, 2009
Our 5-year-old loves doing the experiments in this box. It's designed to teach with simple experiments and she has certainly learned from them. The experiments reinforce was is learned and helps her to remember the concepts.
