Really overpriced and poorly made Sep 03, 2009 Every bad thing every other reviewer wrote is true. When the different components get wet, the songs misfire (on ours, it's especially the building with gas/register) even to the point of going off when no one is in the back yard. The 'cargo's magnet is in the wrong place, so the crane can't pick it up. When my son tries to take the top off the palm tree off which is a strainer, the whole thing comes up. The dams are pointless. My least favorite thing is that the table is about 12 inches high which is way too short for my son who was two when he received this. he has to sit on the ground to play with it. It was a gift and for the money I wish they would have read these reviews and chosen something else.
Squirting Octopus did not work right out of the box & now sounds are messed up. Sep 03, 2009 I bought this to bring on vacation with my children and nephew figuring it would be a fun, new and exciting toy for them. However, when I set it up, the octopus feature did not work. Since we were away from home I was not in a position to send it back, so I kept it as it was. Soon after, the sounds from the gas tank and register started getting stuck and producing a lot of static.
We were excited to get this, but disappointed w/the quality.
Fun but can be frustrating Aug 11, 2009 I have mixed feelings on this toy. The good is that there are lots of fun things to play with. The moat, water fall, the crane that picks up pakages, and the boats are all great. My son loves the spraying fountain, but it only goes off after you press a button that isn't anywhere near the fountain and then you have to wait 30 seconds while there is a sound effect and song. There is no cause and effect, and most of the time my son ends up pushing more buttons because he can't figure out why its not working. Also, one of the boats doesn't float and the music on this thing is HORRIBLE. As a future note to the makers please remove the music and make a button just for the octopus water fountain. Other reviewers have noted that they have had problems with the sound but we haven't seen that yet. It does help that we use it outside otherwise I might go bonkers. Overall this toy's music can by annoying to adults but my son loves it. What can you do.
good idea, poor quality Jun 18, 2009 My 12 month old twins love splashing in the water in this table, but they also spend most of the time taking the pieces off the table that are not well attached. We have also had trouble with the sound "sticking" on one phrase. This is not only annoying but stops the fountian from working, the fountion is their favorite part. I contacted the company about the poor contruction of this item and recieved no reponse.
Not bad May 16, 2009 Bought this for my one-year old niece for her birthday. Read the reviews AFTER buying it (on a whim)!! Had low hopes but it's surprisingly ok! As soon as water was put in it, two one-yr olds immediately began drinking out of it. Then they splashed in the water with their hands. They're definitely too young to care at all about boats, cranes, etc.
The octo-fountain was actually really cool. My niece loves to wave her hands through the spray! We played with this again today and it was nice and refreshing as it was hot outside!
I'd say it was worth the $60, and only time will tell if it holds up and holds her interest!
