 Favorite toy for over a year Dec 05, 2009
We purchased this puppet for my son when he has 4 months old. We chose it because it was black and white and therefore easy for him to see. He is now 27 months and it's one of his best friends. He asks for him and looks for him all the time. He sometimes won't leave the house without him and often hugs him and tells him that he loves him. He likes to dine with him, which brings me to the only negative point about the zebra puppet: he is not machine washable, only surface spot cleaning is allowed. So even though we clean him regularly, he is starting to smell a little funky. But otherwise he is extremely expressive and easy to articulate, even my son has been articulating him for quite some time now. I highly recommend this puppet and am even thinking of buying another one to replace our funky one since the price is so reasonable.

I was very happy with this puppet. We bought it to use in an elementary school talent show - the puppet 'lip synced' to a song, and so the mouth had to be able to be manipulated fairly accurately. Unlike some puppets with wider, flatter bottoms to the mouths, this one worked well with the typical 'hand on top, thumb on bottom' pose.
The eyes on the zebra look a little psycho, so I wouldn't necessarily buy this for a very young child or for use with pre-schoolers. My 2 year old doesn't seem to mind it much, but tends to avoid most of the puppets in our house anyway - the zebra isn't any different.
Overall, this was a very good puppet for the price. Good materials, seems sturdy, I expect it to last many years.

i got this puppet to play with my six month old daughter, she loves when i make it talk and nibble at her toes! i was not as impressed with the quality of the thing, one of its eyeballs bulges out from the way its stitched giving it a slightly menacing, insane look. my lil girl likes him though so im not that concerned. just dont expect perfection.
